Description:
A superb ammonite from Madagascar which has been
split in half and polished to show the spectacular details within.
Most of the individual chambers ,once filled with air to help
the creature swim ,are open and filled with rich colored Calcite crystals.
The septa (divisions) between the chambers are preserved also in
calcite.
This is a beautiful example of the ammonites from Madagascar ,
very decorative, good conversation piece and part of the wonders of our planet.
Size : 3 in or 80mm and 2.5in or 65mm diameter each half
