There are 2 holes
One hole has sign ´´ S ´´ this is for Summer from spring to fall
and the other one has sign ´´ W ´´ and this is for Winter time from fall to spring months.
There are also zodiac signs engraved on the exterior of the ring from W to S holes for each month from January to Dec engraved too
The numbers mean the date – beginning of individual zodiac symbol based on the zodiac signs.
These zodiac symbols + dates on outside ring are just decoration.
Zodiac symbols inside the ring are the actual month
and based on this symbol you can read a time which shows a bead of light .
